Chai Matchmaking – Terms of Service

Chai uses proprietary AI to help singles find meaningful connections through simulated AI conversations, compatibility analysis, and curated introductions.

• You must be 18 years or older to use Chai.
• By using Chai, you confirm you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.
• You may not use the Service if barred by law in your jurisdiction.

• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Do not share your account or password.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violating these Terms.

Our community is built on respect, authenticity, and kindness. You agree to:

• Be genuine in your profile.
• Treat others respectfully.
• Report inappropriate or harmful behavior.
• Not harass, abuse, or exploit other users.
• Not upload unlawful, hateful, or obscene content.

• You own the content you post, but you grant us a license to use it to operate and improve the Service.
• Do not post content you don't have the rights to share.
• We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate our Terms or harm the community.

• Chai uses AI (including third-party providers) to simulate conversations, assess compatibility, and improve our service.
• AI outputs are generated responses, not professional advice.
• AI may provide inaccurate or inappropriate information. Use your own judgment when acting on AI insights.
• By using Chai, you consent to our processing of conversation data to power these features.

• Be cautious when interacting with people online or offline.
• We do not run comprehensive background checks. Meeting others is at your own risk.
• Never send money or financial details to other users.

• Certain features may require payment. By purchasing, you authorize us (or our payment providers) to charge your method of payment.
• Except where required by law, all purchases are non-refundable.
• Some jurisdictions grant cancellation rights (e.g., 3-day rescission period). We will honor those rights where applicable.

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• We are not responsible for user conduct, interactions, or outcomes.
• Chai disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.

• You may delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for other reasons in our discretion.
• Certain provisions (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, arbitration) survive termination.

• You agree to resolve disputes with us by binding arbitration (not in court), unless you opt out within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms.
• You waive any right to participate in a class action.
• Some claims (like intellectual property or small claims) may be handled outside arbitration.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict of laws.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
